Summer Reading Challenge
Summer Reading Challenge
This summer, Kennedy Elementary invites all students to join our Kennedy Dragon Book Quest—an exciting reading adventure designed to keep minds growing all summer long! Students will be challenged to read books throughout the break and track their progress by logging each book in a simple Microsoft Form. Every book they read earns them credit as they journey through their quest. When students return to school, the top readers in each grade level will be celebrated as our ultimate Dragon Book Quest champions and will receive a special prize to recognize their dedication to seeking out the best books of the summer. We encourage all families to support their child’s reading journey as they read, explore, and let their imagination take flight!
“Greetings, young readers of Kennedy Elementary… it is I, your friendly reading dragon!
This summer, I am soaring far and wide on a mighty quest—to read as many books as my wings can carry! My treasure hoard is growing, not with gold, but with incredible stories.
But I must ask you… what are you reading?
Are you diving into daring adventures? Solving tricky mysteries? Laughing at silly tales? Every book you read adds power to your own treasure—and I want to hear all about it!
Do not keep your stories hidden away like secret gems. Share them, log them, and let your reading roar shine bright all summer long!
I’ll be watching, Kennedy readers… and I can’t wait to see whose reading hoard grows the biggest!”
